Autumn-flowering herbaceous ornamental plants

A collection of the most ornamental autumn-flowering herbaceous plants. Autumn is a special time: the harvest is in full swing, most plants have already stopped blooming, the leaves are falling, frosts are appearing, but we still want to see the flowers continue blooming and the abundance of color.

VU Botanical Garden is assembling a new collection of autumn-flowering herbaceous ornamental plants, which will bring together the most ornamental autumn-flowering herbaceous plants that require minimal maintenance. It is planned to exhibit species and varieties of crocus (Colchicum), rudbeckias (Rudbeckia), sneezeweeds (Helenium), asters (Symphyotrichum), goldenrods (Solidago), chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum), Eurybia and other genera and varieties suitable for the Lithuanian climate.
